Ever wished you could get your product in the hands of the illusive influencer? But don’t know where to start, how to know who to trust, or what a good price is?

Let me introduce you to my new obsession – The Right Fit.

The Right Fit is a hub for finding the best creative talent. And this includes finding influencers – and the best part. You can do it via  a contra!

What does this mean? If you’ve got a physical product based business, you can get your product in the hands of influencers from 1,000 followers to hundreds of thousands, all for the cost of goods (and maybe a little bit of postage).

Now obviously, you’re not going to get on a 100k + account with a $20 product, there are some guidelines and suggestions in place. But if you’re starting out and want brand awareness, and some social proof of your product in action. This is THE place to start.

The best part, instead of scouring Instagram and Facebook trying to find the perfect fit, finding someone who matches your demographics, your aesthetic and is going to send you the right kind of people, The Right Fit does it for you.

You simply set up a job posting, explain the kind of person (or people) you are looking for, and what you have to offer and the right people will come to you.

You are then in control and get to decide who is a good fit, and who will represent your brand best.

Some tips and suggestions:

  • Use smaudience.com/hashtag-search/ to check their Instagram engagement rates. Huge accounts often have around a 2-4% engagement rate, while smaller accounts can often be between 20-40% engagement.
  • Don’t discredit small accounts, yes it’s nice to be featured on huge accounts, but sometimes the smaller accounts have better engagement and a more loyal following. So keep that in mind
  • Write an exceptional brief, really sell your product and the kind of person you are looking for. This will help ensure that you are reaching the right people
  • Most importantly, make sure that you have put some serious thought into how this campaign fits into your broader marketing strategy. How are you going to use the publicity to turn into sales, followers and subscribers? What analytics have you got in place to keep track of where people come from? Are your social pages optimized for this campaign?

Keeping the above in mind, it’s really simple to set up – just head on over to The Right Fit and go from there.

If you’re stumped, not sure where to start, or would just like a hand setting it all up and making sure it fits into your strategy and it’s going to be worthwhile, let’s chat and we can help!
